A Message from Ruth at Antiques And Teacups
Welcome to the blog of Antiques And Teacups! Let's share a cup of tea and talk about the things we love...like teacups, antiques, collectibles, visiting England, antiquing and learning about victoriana and quirky gadgets. Fun!
Yes, I will never forget that day. . .ever! I was at work and we had a person from our home office in CA visiting. Her son was in NYC, and close to the towers. We were all in shock as the events unfolded, and everyone was told to go home. My boys were teenagers at the time, and I picked them both up from their schools. Very eerie driving to get my older son, because there was almost no traffic, and (obviously) no planes in the sky. . .We were glued to the television and radio for a couple of days. My sister-in-law and her husband live in NJ, and staying connected with them was critical, because they both worked close to NYC. And, I come from a family with many firefighters. . .Even in Ohio, we were quite impacted. I'll never forget.
