Welcome! Today I am joining several wonderful blogs for an orgy of vintage and teacups! How fun is that! The list is at the bottom of the post.
I have just gotten the last suitcase unpacked from our vacation...you know how that goes...and the laundry has begun! Haven't gotten photos downloaded to the computer yet, so....
My teacup for today is:
This is the sweetest blue violets cup and saucer from Foley by E. Brain, England from the 1950s. The color was so hard to photograph! The interior is white with the blue violets veined in magenta with gold foliage overlay and the outside of the cup is a pale robin's egg blue which is lovely but didn't photograph at all well. Sigh...Oh well, you can see how much I love it...and why!
And I had a wonderful surprise on Sept.8...I won a wonderful ebook called Searching For Captain Wentworth by Jane Odiwe.
The book was a giveaway to celebrate the 5 millionth comment on the wonderful blog Jane Austen's World. If you love Jane Austen and haven't read Vic's blog, YOU WILL LOVE IT!
The story is a bit of a time travel story and quite enjoyable. To read about the book and Vic's review of it, click on the book above to go to the appropriate page on her blog. Vic does book reviews and posts information of anything relating to the Austen period. One of my favorite blogs!
