Good morning! Teacup Thursday crept up on me! We were so busy putting up the outside Christmas lights yesterday I didn't realize it was Thursday until just Now! Duh...
This is the cutest little miniature Royal Albert, England cup and saucer that was made in both regular size and miniature for their Flower Of The Month series in the 1970s. The Christmas Rose was their choice for December. So appropriate! I love the addition of the holly. The little cup is 1 1/2 inches high and the saucer is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. How cute is that!
Here is what the regular size looks like....
Just from the photo without the penny for reference, you couldn't tell just by the photo, could you? A lot of companies made miniatures, but Royal Albert made the best...the ones that were exact replicas of their larger siblings. I love that!
This is a Royal Albert Christmas plate that coordinates with their Old Country Roses pattern from 2001:
I no longer have the regular sized teacup or the plate, but you can see more about the miniature at Antiques And Teacups by clicking on the photos.
I'm going to be sharing antique holiday postcards everyday...if possible...this month. Here is the first that is postmarked 1911:
Happy December 1st! I am joining Miss Spenser's Teacup Thursday, Kathy at A Delightsome Life Teacup Thursday and Coloradolady's Vintage Thingie Thursday.

How gorgeous the Dcember teacup is! I only have one which is my b'day cup of Oct. I love those vintage post cards, beautiful to make a collage with. Thanks for your lovely and generous visit. Hugs,

I have not seen the cups in a miniature size. I have the complete set of twelve in the regular size. Bought many years ago.
