Tuesday Tea Blog Parties, Paragon Mid Century Design,Chenille Pumpkin

Hi! It's Tuesday and time for the wonderful tea realated blogging parties that are so much fun! See the list at the bottom of the post for the list of those I'm participating in and join in!

This is a bit of a different style cup and saucer from Paragon, England. This is a mid century, retro modern teacup with the pattern name of Cherwell that was made in the 1950s. The colors are fall like to me, with the muted hues of lavender, green and navy blue. And when you handle the teacup, the teacup has a very satisfactory sensory aspect from the reeded or ribbed sides which I really like. Not your usual Paragon! But cool!

To see more of the Cherwell Paragon cup and saucer at Antiques And Teacups website, click on the photos.

The fun turkey sign I found and added to the front porch by the door.

This is a chenille pumpkin my girlfriend Barbara sent me for fall. The pumpkin is stuffed and squashy...she said "huggable". The pumpkin was hand made by an artisan close to her and has quilted fabric leaves, a grapevine stem and a banner attached which reads Harvest The Bounty Of Friendship. I just love it! I have on on our oak corner mantle below our artisan made pottery Mission style lamp.

Here is the list of the Tuesday tea realted blog parties I am ajoining and a linky I am sharing with the Time Was Antiques Family blog called Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

  1. Very nice teacup, Ruth. The pumpkin is adorable and nice that you can just put it away after the Autumn season and then bring it back out again next year. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  5. Beautiful! What a lovely retro style cup. I would have never guessed Paragon, if you had not told me! It is very different. The blues and lilac colors with the green do seem more like fall or winter, so a perfect cup for the season!
    Hugs,
    Terri
