Welcome to Teacup Tuesday with Martha & Terri at Artful Affirmations and Martha's Favorites. Tea Pot And Tea Things with Wanda Lee & Pam at Silken Purse and A Breath Of Fresh Air , Tea Time Tuesday with Rose Chintz Cottage and all the other wonderful tea time blogs like Bernideen's and....so many friends, tea parties & teacups!.
Today I wanted to share another Shelley...this has such a spring feel. The design is a combo pattern of Blossom with another type of border in the Henley shape.
I have a soft spot for Shelley combo patterns as they are a bit unusual and usually quite striking. I love the bright, cheerful colors on this teacup.
This is quite different. It's another English bone china but with a hand painted design that makes me think of Bleeding Hearts or early buds coming out on the trees...or in other words...spring! I love the art deco shaping of the handle too. Aren't teacups great....there are so many different manufacturers and designs. Basically an endless variety to please the eye and tactile senses as we hold them and sip a warm cup of fragrant tea.

And for a teapot...how's this fun figural teapot like a fishing creel complete with a fishing fly for a lid finial??? I just had to pick it up when I saw it...so fun. It's not fancy, but I love it!

Both of your cups are lovely. I do love Shelley too! They do posses a unique beauty and yours is so different than any I have seen. Your second cup too is unique in it's handpainted design and handle shape. The tea pot is amusing! At first I could not tell which end the tea came out! How fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your lovely china with us today.
Hugs,
Terri
