Late again - Teacup and Teapot Thursday and Churchmouse Yarns & Tea Bainbridge Island

My teacup today for Teapot and Teacup Thursday with Wanda Lee and Pam is a Foley, E. Brain in a lovely robin's egg blue with rose bouquets and sponged gold trim made between 1948-1963 by the mark. I just fell in love with it! It is so pretty. Teacups can really set the mood at a table...even if for only one person enjoying the serenity and solitude of a restful cup of tea while admiring the beauty of the cup and the taste of the tea!

Yesterday, my honey and I drove the 60 miles to Bainbridge Island where we leave our car and take a Washington State ferry into downtown Seattle. We were staying the night because of an early appt this morning with his neurologist (he has Parkinson's disease). We love the ferries and love to have an excuse to travel by them, and escaping the traffic in downtown Seattle at rush hour is a BIG reason!

After a great report from the doctor, we took a taxi back to the waterfront and got on the next ferry to Bainbridge. We had lunch and decided to do a little browsing in the local shops, and found on we hadn't seen before. The Churchmouse Yarns & Tea was a great place whether for tea afficianados or creative knitters. I loved their great brands of tea including Barry's, Yorkshire Gold, Harneys and many more. The also had an extensive collection of Emma Bridgewater pottery items from England, which I love. Long story...I'll post about that another time.

We didn't have tea anywhere...but this is what we had for lunch in Bainbridge Island at the Isla Bonita Mexican restaurant!

We also had a great time antiquing, bought a few things and thoroughly enjoyed our day (s) out...so that's why my Teacup Thursday post is late!!
