Christmas With Victoria blog party and December Thoughts Teacup Thursday

I had a wonderful time looking at everyone's blogs during the Christmas With Victoria/A Delightsome Life Blog Party Yesterday. What a talented bunch of ladies! It's so nice to know that so many share my love of Victoria magazine and the lovely and tranquil life it envisions!

Gentle At Home
amid my friends I'll be
Like the high leaves
upon the holly tree

And while you are drinking your Christmas tea, here is a teabag caddy or spoon holder in the shape of a teapot in bone china and a pattern of poinsettias. The teabag caddy was made by Royal Patrician who unfortunately went out of business in England in 2009. Sigh...But I think these are so cute!  Teacup Thursday

For Teacup Thursday I have chosen this vintage art deco landscape design teacup and saucer by Royal Albert, England in a design called Rosedale. I absolutely love these landscape cups and saucers and art deco designs, made in the 1920-1940s are also some of my favorites. Wish my garden looked like that! The set is hand colored on a grey transfer and is so nostalgic! Just looking at the design brings a feeling of graciousness and peace. I think Darjeeling with a madeleine would be perfect!

Have a lovely day...enjoying the season...it's sunny at the moment but rain expected this afternoon. We are attending our church's Christmas Program this evening at Sequim Community Church...the first of several performance over the next few days which is always fun and sets the tone for the season.
