The antique Christmas card today was made in Germany for B.B. London, New York who were famous and prolific postcard makers. The embossed card was sent in Milton, New Hampshire to Miss Olive Craig 1900-1904...the postmark is a bit smeared. The verse says:
A Little Spray of ivy
Let this message bring
That happiness for all time
To you will ever cling
And I thought I would share this photo I took several years ago when we spent Christmas on a Holland America cruise ship, the Oosterdam on a 7 day Mexico cruise. The ship was fabulously decorated, stem to stern. This is what the Christmas trees all over the dining room looked like...filled with Dutch blue and white Delft china ornaments. The were gorgeous!
And lastly for today...I want to share a tea tin I just added to Antiques And Teacups which I fell in love with when I found it at an antique fair in England. The tin features a reproduction of a famous painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds, P.R.A. 1723-1792 called Age Of Innocence. It is lovely. The tin was originally for toffee but they make super tea tins. I am a great tea tin enthusiast and have them for all sorts of things in the kitchen and my office...including tea!
You can see more about the tea tin here:
Have a wonderful day...remember to take time out for a quiet time, away from the hustle and bustle for a cup of tea and a time to remember our blessings!
